TRAVEL WITH WILD HEARTED ADVENTURES
Travelling on your own, or with a group of women is life changing experience. I love connecting like-minded women through adventure, nature and the outdoors, empowering you to try something new.
Our Peak District hiking trip is a chance to meet like minded people in a safe environment who all have a love for the outdoors and enjoy taking some much needed time for themselves.
You may be stepping a little out of your comfort zone, but why not do it with other amazing ladies around you. Immerse yourself in exploring the famous hills, dramatic rock edges beside wild moorlands and tranquil dales, all whilst squeezing in as much laughter into one weekend as possible.
Join us in our Facebook group LADIES LOVE HIKING and on an adventure and an experience you’ll never forget!
Hiking in the Peak District
Our first hiking weekend in the Peak District will be fairly relaxed. It the perfect weekend if you are new to hiking or have little experience. You will need to be in good health but the hikes will be leisurely and at a steady pace. We will be lead by mountain leader Becky Angell who has been hiking the Peak District for over 12 years and holds both mountaineering qualifications and a first aid certificate.
The Peak District National Park is the hill area in the county of Derbyshire in the centre of England. Steep limestone valleys like Dovedale, with its famed stepping stones, and Lathkill Dale characterise the park’s southern area, which is known as White Peak. North, the Dark Peak area has dramatic gritstone ridges and stark moorland plateaus like Kinder Scout, the park’s highest point.
The Peak District National Park was founded on 17 April 1951, the first national park ever to be created in the UK. It covers 555 square miles of the most beautiful parts of Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Yorkshire and even parts of Greater Manchester.

Day 2: Saturday 11th November 2023 – Hiking the Pilsbury Castle Route & Yoga
After a hearty breakfast, we will meet our mountain leader Becky who will be leading our adventures for the weekend – I can’t cross the road without getting lost so I though I’d better ask someone who can show us some Peak District highlights!
We will head out on our first hike from Hartington Hall in to the hills for a full day adventure taking a packed lunch with us.
Our route today will take us on a 8 mile hike around the Pilsbury Castle route which should take about 5 hours and is of easy-medium difficulty – I have heard there’s a pub half way so we could stop at for a cheeky drink!
We will return back to Hartington Hall late afternoon where you will have time to shower before joining in with a relaxed yoga session with Laurie from Wellbeing in the Peaks. You do not need any experience of yoga to take part and equally you do not have to participate.
Early evening you are then invited to join me in the bar for drinks before dinner in Hartington Hall.
MEALS INCLUDED: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 3: Sunday 12th November 2023 – Hiking the Wolfscote Dale
Pack up before breakfast and then head off on a final hike together around the Wolfscote Dales. The Wolfscote Dale walk is a beautiful route, and terrain for this walk is fairly easy; however, the section through Biggin Dale is narrow and rocky. The hike will take about 3 hours.
We will enjoy a final lunch together in a local pub before bidding farewell until the next time!
