Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Funchal Tour with Toboggan Ride

Please arrive at Funchal’s Madeira Airport (airport code FNC) on the start date of the trip (24th April 2025) by midday at the latest.

Day 2: Santana Biosphere Reserve & Arieiro Peak Jeep Tour

Day 3: Ponta de São Lourenço Hike & Pool Time
Start your day with a scenic coastal hike along the Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço, a dramatic trail on Madeira’s eastern peninsula.
This moderate 7 km hike (approximately 3 hours, suitable for most fitness levels) winds through volcanic cliffs and offers sweeping ocean views, with the chance to spot seabirds and enjoy the salty breeze.
After working up a sweat, head back to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon by the large outdoor pool, where sunbeds are always available—a perfect spot to unwind with a book or a refreshing dip.
Dinner is at your leisure tonight, with nearby Funchal restaurants offering a variety of local dining options.

Boo Stone is a passionate & experienced expedition leader with an adventurous spirit and a genuinely supportive approach.
She has travelled extensively to six of the seven continents, with favourites being Africa & Northern Asia particularly Nepal having ventured there five times so far.
She’s worked for over 30 years in public service more recently focusing on staff wellbeing and coaching. She’s also a Mum of two young men, Community First Responder, self confessed life long learner, adrenaline junky and currently exploring mindfulness and its application as spiritual rebellion, definitely a wild hearted woman!
Her empathy and enthusiasm will inspire you to dive into your adventure, gently stretch your limits, and help you make the most of every moment.
