Day 5 - Final River Cruise and Journey to Poring Hotspring
After checking out, we will drive to Sabah Tea Garden stopping at Gomantong Cave – the largest limestone cavern in the Lower Kinabatangan region. This extraordinary cave harbors a bustling ecosystem of bats and swiftlets, offering a fascinating insight into its rich biodiversity. (some photography restrictions for professional cameras apply within the cave) and then take a scenic boat ride back to Sandakan before embarking on an overland journey to Poring Hot Spring.
The approximately six-hour drive offers glimpses of Sabah’s lush landscapes, winding through villages and rainforests.
As an en route stop, we’ll spend a night at the beautiful Sabah Tea Garden, staying in one of their cozy cottages nestled among rolling tea fields.
Upon arrival, unwind in the rejuvenating natural hot springs, known for their therapeutic properties, and soak in the beauty of the surrounding jungle.
We’ll then come together around a warm campfire – a perfect moment to unwind, share stories, get to know one another, and reflect on the day’s journey.

After breakfast, we’ll head to Poring Hot Springs, where we’ll take on the Canopy Walk, enjoying breathtaking views high above the treetops.
